  1. I'm not sure if many people know the honor in which I received, but many people know its big brother. I'm sure everyone here is aware of what the Heisman award for college football players. What many are not aware of is the lesser known, but equally prestigious on its respectable level, High School Heisman award presented and sponsored by Wendy's. I had the amazing opportunity of being selected the state winner for Alabama. This award is granted to students who excel in athletics, community involvement, and achievement in schooling. As for what got me this far: I was on the USA Junior Olympic team for track and placed 313 in the nation at the national cross country meet ( I was better at track), landed a 34 on my ACT and had over 1000 hours of community service in the past year. ( I will provide proof of these if necessary but the real award was the Heisman) Yes, my name is Jacob Adams (Jladams), and I am from Alabama. I blacked out the school name and city for privacy reasons. This award was completely unexpected and, for lack of better words, overwhelming. Thank you in advance for reading this! And I wish to end with wishing the others the best of luck. I can see how hard these others worked on their respective achievements!4 (I know it was November 25 but that would have been too late to enter for November's entry.) (If I need to present the plaque, medals, or something of the sort as more proof, I will gladly do so.)
